Celebrate This Easter Knowing You Are Chosen

As we approach Easter, the stores are filled with candy, baskets, and rabbits. I turn to the true meaning of Easter. The beauty of spring comes to bring the hope and promise of new life and new beginnings.

God Chose to offer His son in our place.

He Chooses us as His beloved children.

He Chooses to help us, bless us and to love us through our good and bad times.

He Chooses not to turn His back on us. He is always ready to welcome us back if we turn from Him.

He Chooses to give us a “job” to do that is specifically fit for us.

He chooses to guide us each step of the way. We try to fulfill the special things He has for us to do.

He Chooses to place us in a family, as children, parents, siblings, co-workers, fellow worshipers, etc. to touch the lives of those around us.

He chooses to give us love, wisdom, and knowledge. We need these every hour to touch the lives of all we meet.

We can Chose to get our “worth” and needs from others who often fail to give what we want.

Or we can Chose the Heavenly Father who wants to love and take care of us.

My prayer for each of you this Easter is that you stop to “raise a Hallelujah” for being “chosen.” I hope you choose to turn to Him daily as you “start again.” Continue each day on the path He has set for you.

May you have a Blessed Easter and find a renewed life with Him.

I'm not an expert, nor do I have a "degree" in the area of addiction - I am simply a Mother and Grandma with a heart for all who battle with any addiction and those whose lives are affected by their loved ones struggle. There is a driving force behind my passion to be a voice for both those caught in the grip of addiction and their family and friends, as their lives and hearts are broken from this evil. May you find hope and peace as we walk through this together with God's help.
