A Lesson From My Dog

I have a mutt.  He thinks he’s a hunting dog, which can be quite challenging. Still, he has this incredible personality. No matter what is going on, even when I get frustrated with him, his tail is always wagging.  He’s just the happiest, most laid-back dog I’ve ever seen or had.  He’s always happy to see you. He gets excited to go out or play. He also loves to just lay beside you and get a little attention.  He literally puts me to shame with my attitude and grumblings that I can do sometimes.

God wants us to have joy.  The joy of the Lord is my strength.  I carry a reminder with me each day. God gave it to me to check my attitude and watch, living with joy always.

I'm not an expert, nor do I have a "degree" in the area of addiction - I am simply a Mother and Grandma with a heart for all who battle with any addiction and those whose lives are affected by their loved ones struggle. There is a driving force behind my passion to be a voice for both those caught in the grip of addiction and their family and friends, as their lives and hearts are broken from this evil. May you find hope and peace as we walk through this together with God's help.
